Oh, I just had the sweetest time with the Lord as I studied Psalm 77. I've shared in the video how this psalm progresses from depression to a turning of the mind to remembrance and a reciting of the things God has done in the past. Do you have pivotal moments from your past where you know but KNOW God showed up? Sometimes when God feels far away, it's good to remember those times. My verse was Psalm 77:12. "I will meditate on all your works and consider all your mighty deeds." I wrote: Thank You, Lord, for this example of turning one's mind from the darkness of despair and lost-ness to the memories of all You have done. Thank You for ..." […] Read more »
Psalm 66
This magnificent psalm teaches us so much about worship. It brings us from the BIG picture of the whole earth praising God to the picture of tiny little ... us. Able to meet with and speak with the Living God. I loved it. How 'bout you? Read more »
Abba, Father

For you did not receive a spirit that makes you a slave again to fear, but you received the Spirit of sonship. And by him we cry, “Abba, Father.” (Romans 8:15 NIV 1984) I sat me down and had a good, long cry. I had informed my husband as he left for work that day my plan was to cry my eyes out. He didn’t comprehend this in the slightest and looked quite relieved that I didn’t seem to think him necessary to the process. After he left, I pulled our overstuffed chair up to the fire, put on sweet worship music, grabbed a box of Kleenex, and simply sobbed. It was just what I needed. It was a time when trouble seemed all around […] Read more »

Psalm 52
Hello dear ones, Today's psalm is based on a story that you can read in I Samuel, chapters 21 and 22. It's NOT a nice story. It's horrid and sad and wicked. The Bible does not shy away from telling us the hard things. The true things. This happened. And God teaches us from it, through David's song/psalm about it. My thoughts are below. I am so very thankful for all I can learn not only from the happy stories, but from the miserable stories, about how to live rightly with my God. I'd love to hear your thoughts and comments as well. May God teach us to love what is GOOD and to run from what is evil!! Love, Sharon Read more »
