March 26 – Daniel 6:1-28

Request: Lord, thank you for equipping us with the courage we need to stand for you.  Thank you that when we feel scared or weak, we can call out to you, and you hear us and will fill us with your power.

Read: Daniel 6:1-28.  Read this story one more time and see what else pops out to you.

Record: Record a key verse. Anything new pop out to you?

Respond: Write a prayer responding to God about the verse you just read.  Let’s not just pick a verse and move on.  Let’s interact with God about it.

Question to Ponder: Is there a current situation in your life that God is asking you to stand for Him? How does the story of Daniel encourage you?

My Ponder:

Daniel is such a good reminder that we will be asked to stand in one or another for our faith and that we can courageously stand. Daniel was protected and blessed for his faithfulness and courage to stand for his faith.

My Verse: Daniel 6:23, “Then the king was exceedingly glad, and commanded that Daniel be taken up out of the den. So Daniel was taken up out of the den, and no kind of harm was found on him, because he had trusted in his God.”

My Response: Lord, you protected Daniel so much that not one mark was on him.  He sat with the lions and didn’t even have a scratch.  That’s amazing.  It was a true testament to your love and power. Help me remember that when I feel scared, I can stand in Holy courage and trust you to deliver me.
