And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds, not giving up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another—and all the more as you see the Day approaching. —Hebrews 10:24-25 NIV
I was standing at the top of a ten-foot platform in my physical education class in high school. Below me were my classmates urging me to fall into their waiting arms. We were in the middle of a new program called Project Adventure, and this was an exercise in trust. Well. I didn’t feel very trusting at that moment. But … with repeated words of encouragement and looks of assurance in multiple eyes … I fell forward (or backward I can’t remember now) into their waiting arms. They caught me! And carefully lowered me to the ground.
Have you ever been on the edge of something exciting and a bit scary? It’s hard to stand there and work up the nerve to jump. And yet, when you have kind people encouraging you … sometimes you find the courage to do it.
Here at Sweet Selah Ministries, we offer adventure of the wildest kind. We challenge you to actually meet personally with the Living God in prayer, worship, and study of His Word. Our job is to encourage you and tell you it’s really easy once you try it, just like my classmates did that long ago day in PE. And if even those fallible humans didn’t let me fall … how much less will the God who made you let you fall when you lean into Him?
But don’t just read about this today. See it. Click below to see our new video and meet the team. Hear our stories of adventures with God. Hear how we found ways to stop the busy and allow ourselves to be still. Be encouraged, dear one. You are loved.
Heavenly Father, help us dare to come to You in humility and trust. Give us the “want to” so that we come eagerly, shedding all else for the joy of sitting at Your feet and listening to You. Help us to know You better, Lord. Help us to love You more and more in the days ahead. In Jesus Mighty Name, Amen.
You are loved,
Sharon

Thanks for the video, lovely to see all the team together. Praise the Lord for all that you ladies are sharing, in fellowship and ministry.
Thank you for your encouragement. It means SO much. We are very thankful that we scheduled this video shoot before the pandemic hit our land. We are now meeting virtually over the phone or by Zoom until this crisis passes. It’s nice for us, too, to watch the video and remember being all together! Lord willing, it won’t be too many more months before we can meet in person again. We love our fellowship and gatherings.
