My verse: Philippians 2:8 “He humbled Himself in obedience to God and died a criminal’s death on a cross.”
Christ was not forced into humiliation and torture. HE humbled HIMSELF. He chose to put Himself under God and God’s plan in obedience. And it cost Him! He felt such trauma on the night He was betrayed that He sweat blood. But still He did it. He died for us, endured the shame for us, for the joy of being able to free us from our sins.
How I praise You, Lord Jesus! I’m humbled by Your humility that bought me my freedom. Thank You for choosing the cross and setting me free!
